What does it mean to be a church member? Being a church member is more than your name on a list – and it is certainly more than being a member of the country club. Being a member of a church means that you have covenanted with God and man to join in fellowship and submission to a local church. It means defending that church at all costs and it means doing the right thing – following Matthew 18 – when you encounter struggles at your church. It means submitting to the church leadership and also properly keeping the leadership accountable to the Word of God. If you are a church member do you treat church membership this seriously? If you don’t I pray that you will begin today!
